Rational Statement

Choosing a career profession is one of the most important decisions a person can make in a life time. Although Cosmetology is not for everyone, it is one of the most exciting and fastest growing industries in America, where a professional has the potential to set his or her own financial goals, career flexibility, experiences, career niches and more. A profession choice in the field of cosmetology will offer career choices in the arena of hair, make-up design, stylist, nail technology, aesthetics, and many more niches in the beauty arena.

Course Description

This on line course will introduce cosmetology students to basic skill theories in manicuring, professional imaging, and conduct/personal hygiene. It will also expound on principles of basic sciences in bacteriology, sanitation, and physiology pertaining to the head, face, hands/arms and identify laws, rules, and regulations of Alabama State Board of Cosmetology.

Performance Standards

Upon completion of this course, the students should be able to:

Demonstrate practical knowledge of dressing professionally when interviewing.
Comply with rules and regulations for employer's dress codes.
Recognizing an example of a professionally dressed stylist.

While taking this class, as a student, you learned how web design began; What networking protocols and programing languages work behind the scenes to display a web page. In each chapter, it provided an introduction to new concepts and easy foundations for the information needed to become a 21 st Century Web Designer. It introduced the Hypertext Markup Language for the constant advancing of the Internet and the Web.
